Policies

Our Policies

Academy policies

These policies help us provide a fair, respectful and high-quality learning experience for every participant. Full policy documents are available on request.

Attendance

Participants are expected to attend all sessions of a course. A certificate of completion is issued to participants who attend the full course and complete the required activities.

Respectful treatment

We are committed to a learning environment free from harassment and discrimination. Participants, instructors and staff are expected to treat each other with courtesy and respect at all times.

Assessment appeals

Participants who disagree with an assessment result may request a review in writing. Each request is reviewed fairly and the outcome is communicated in writing.

Dismissal

The Academy may remove a participant from a course for serious misconduct, including harassment, academic dishonesty or misuse of company or personal data.

Dispute resolution

We aim to resolve concerns quickly and fairly. Please raise any concern with your instructor first. If it is not resolved, contact us at info@canadianacademy.ca and we will respond in writing.

Equity, diversity and inclusion

We welcome learners of all backgrounds and abilities. Please let us know in advance if you need any adjustments to take part fully in a course.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund terms are provided with every registration and in each corporate training agreement. Requests to transfer to a later date are accommodated whenever space allows.

Privacy and data protection: We collect only the personal information needed to deliver our courses and issue certificates, keep it secure and never sell it. Participants are reminded not to enter confidential, client or personal data into public AI tools during training.

Use of AI in course activities: Participants may use AI tools in course activities when the instructor allows it, and are expected to be open about how they used them. Presenting AI-generated work as entirely one’s own, when this is not permitted, may be treated as academic dishonesty.

Certificates and records: Certificates of completion show the course title, dates and hours of instruction. Records of attendance and completion are kept securely so that certificates can be verified on request.

Feedback and complaints: We welcome feedback at any time. Every participant is invited to complete a course evaluation, and all comments are reviewed to improve our courses and services.
